About

The Information Resources (IR) department within the Library and Information Service (LIS) encompasses four distinct entities: Acquisitions, Cataloguing, Electronic Resources Management, and Bindery Services. The primary mandate of the IR Department is the enhancement and expansion of the library's collection of information resources. The activities, processes, and responsibilities within this department are centred on the acquisition, processing, upkeep, and administration of these resources. The IR Department plays a pivotal role in supporting the entire academic community spanning all three campuses. This is achieved through the curation of an appealing collection comprising both physical and digital resources such as books, ebooks, journals, and databases, among others. Our paramount objective is to ensure a seamless and unrestricted access experience for our students and researchers, thereby fostering an environment conducive to scholarly exploration.
