Information Services plays a vital role in equipping users with the skills necessary to navigate today's complex information landscape. We deliver inclusive, comprehensive instruction in all facets of information literacy, including the ability to locate, evaluate, interpret, and ethically use information. Our training sessions are tailored to meet the diverse needs of the NWU Community at varying levels of expertise.

Using a variety of pedagogical approaches, Information Services staff design and deliver engaging learning experiences that range from in-person workshops and classroom sessions to online tutorials, webinars, and self-paced modules. Our training sessions are integrated into the academic curriculum where possible, ensuring that students receive relevant and discipline-specific guidance at key stages of their academic journey.

Information Services ensures that training sessions are accessible, inclusive, and aligned with modern teaching practices. We foster critical thinking, academic integrity, and lifelong learning skills, empowering users to become confident and independent information seekers and creators.
