Book Donation Drive 2024

Lift Lives: Sparking Change through the Book Donation Drive

Join the North-West University Library and Information Service (NWU LIS) in empowering communities through knowledge. In alignment with Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 and SDG 10, the Library and Information Service is conducting a Book Donation Drive to support the development of school, college and community libraries in disadvantaged communities.

SDG 4, which focuses on quality education, and SDG 10, addressing reduced inequalities, serve as the guiding principles for this initiative. The objective is to collect a diverse range of books that will enrich school, college and community libraries, fostering a conducive learning environment for those who may not have equitable access to reading resources and materials.

Why Support Our Cause?

Empowering Education: By contributing to this initiative, you directly impact the educational landscape of disadvantaged communities, empowering individuals with knowledge and skills for a brighter future.

Building Inclusive Libraries: We believe in creating inclusive spaces that cater to diverse learning needs, fostering an environment where everyone can thrive.

How Can You Contribute?

Book Donations: We welcome contributions of new or gently used books. Fiction, non-fiction, educational materials, and reference books are all valuable additions.

Spread the Word: Help us raise awareness by sharing this campaign and encouraging your network to join the cause and make a difference.

Our drop-off points are available in all the NWU Libraries.

Let's come together to make a lasting impact on the lives of various communities and contribute to a more inclusive and educated society.
