Information and Learning Services (ILS)
Circulation Services

Circulation Services is a cornerstone of the Library’s user-facing operations, responsible for managing all aspects of the lending and return of library materials. This includes overseeing the checkout and return process, handling course reserves to support academic instruction, and coordinating interlibrary loans to extend access to resources beyond the institution’s collections.
In addition to facilitating the physical movement of materials, Circulation Services administers and enforces borrowing privileges, ensuring that library policies are applied fairly and consistently to all users. They also play a vital role in maintaining the integrity and accessibility of the collection by monitoring usage patterns, identifying high-demand materials, and assisting in the timely replacement or updating of resources as needed.
By providing efficient, user-friendly services and maintaining a responsive and organised lending system, Circulation Services helps ensure that the library remains a dynamic and accessible hub for learning, teaching, and research.
