Self-Check Machines

Self-service machines are available at all main campus libraries for convenient borrowing. If you experience any issues, please visit the Circulation Desk.

Self-checkout is not available in the following cases:

  • If overdue charges exceed R10.00
  • Borrowing "Non-circulating" items (e.g., Reference materials)
  • If there is a block on your University card
  • If your University card has expired
  • To renew books that are requested by another user
  • Borrowing items without a barcode
  • If the item has been invoiced for replacement costs
